Nathan Sharp, Managing Director, issued the following statement regarding the Colorado Springs Shooting: “Last night brought another devastating salvo against a community who over the past six years has faced a renewed onslaught from the forces of Christian Nationalism who seek to remake this country in their own image. The LGTBQ+ Community has been villainized and dehumanized by hatemongers and those seeking to score political points with a radicalized base whose purpose is motivated to cause as much fear and destruction as possible. We must continue to work with our legislative allies in Congress and the White House to pass meaningful legislation, including renewing the ban on assault rifles and other high magazine weapons.”
